The Story Behind Grace Under Pressure

Looking back, I realize I have always been passionate about helping people live healthier, fuller lives. What began as nutrition education became teaching, and then, unexpectedly, a diagnosis that revealed a purpose I did not see coming.

  1. Chapter One

    A Nutrition Educator

Teaching children and adults in communities experiencing food insecurity how to grow, prepare, and enjoy healthier foods.

  2. Chapter Two

    Transition into Education

Moving from nutrition work into the classroom as a paraeducator, then into a teacher preparation program.

  3. Chapter Three

    A Teaching Career

Co-teaching third grade, teaching fifth-grade English Language Arts, and stepping into vocational special education.

  4. Chapter Four

    A Lupus Diagnosis

Symptoms during teacher preparation eventually led to a lupus diagnosis, and to questioning what my future would look like.

  5. Chapter Five

    A Personal Transformation

My students, so often defined by their diagnoses, taught me the greatest lesson of my life about purpose beyond a label.

  6. Chapter Six

    Creating Grace Under Pressure

A platform to remind women that life after a diagnosis can still be meaningful, joyful, and full of possibility.

  7. Chapter Seven

    A Vision for the Future

Growing this into a trusted community with expanded resources, mentorship, and opportunities that empower women to thrive.

“A diagnosis is only one part of a person's story. It should never define their worth, potential, dreams, or future.”
